Community Outreach
Faith expressed through action — how Weldon United Baptist Church serves, supports, and strengthens the community we love.
The Church Beyond the Building
We believe the church is not just a gathering — it is a movement.
Weldon United Baptist Church has long understood that genuine faith leads to genuine service. We are not a church that simply meets — we are a church that moves outward, into the lives of those who need encouragement, support, and the assurance that they are not alone.
Areas of Community Outreach
Practical expressions of Christ's love across the Weldon region and beyond.
Food & Practical Assistance
We work to ensure that no family in our area goes without the basics. Through our food assistance network, we connect those in need with resources — quietly, respectfully, and without judgment.
Visitation & Pastoral Care
Our visitation team makes regular visits to seniors' homes, care facilities, and hospitals throughout the region — bringing warmth, prayer, and companionship to those who need it most.
Youth Mentorship
Every young person deserves a caring adult mentor. We provide tutoring support, mentorship relationships, and positive programming for children and teenagers in the Weldon area.
Community Events
We regularly host community events — seasonal celebrations, family days, and neighbourhood gatherings — that create connections and reinforce the sense of belonging that makes Weldon special.
Crisis & Grief Support
When crisis strikes, our pastoral care team walks alongside individuals and families with compassion, prayer, and practical assistance. No one should navigate life's hardest moments alone.
Environmental Stewardship
As caretakers of creation, we participate in community clean-up initiatives and stewardship projects that honour the natural beauty of the Weldon region and demonstrate care for the land we share.
Become a Community Volunteer
Our community outreach depends on generous volunteers who believe in making Weldon a better place.
Whether you have an hour a week or a full day a month, there is a role for you. Volunteering is one of the most meaningful ways to grow in faith, form friendships, and make a real difference in the life of another person.
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress."James 1:27 (NIV)
