Our Mission
Called to proclaim, nurture, and serve — our mission is the heartbeat of everything we do as a church community in Weldon, New Brunswick.
Why We Exist
"To proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ, nurture authentic faith in every individual, and build a community where all people — regardless of background or circumstance — feel welcomed, valued, and transformed by the grace of God."
How We Fulfil Our Mission
Our mission unfolds across three interconnected dimensions — each essential, each dependent on the others.
Proclaim
We share the gospel of Jesus Christ through Sunday worship, preaching, and personal witness. The message of God's grace and love is the foundation upon which everything else is built. We proclaim it with conviction, clarity, and joy.
Nurture
We invest in the spiritual growth of every person — from infants to seniors. Through Bible study, mentorship, prayer groups, and pastoral care, we create spaces where faith can take root, deepen, and bear lasting fruit.
Serve
We extend Christ's compassion into every corner of our community — caring for the vulnerable, supporting local families, and partnering with others to address real needs. Service is not an add-on; it is an expression of our faith.
Faith That Moves Beyond the Walls
Our mission is not expressed only in formal programs — it lives in the small, everyday acts of faithfulness that define life in this community.
It is the neighbour who checks in on a grieving family. The young person who chooses to volunteer. The Sunday morning visitor who finds, for the first time, that they truly belong somewhere. These are the moments that define Weldon United Baptist Church.
Our Mission & the Local Community
Weldon is a rural community in Albert County — a place where people know their neighbours, where the pace of life invites reflection, and where faith has long been woven into everyday life.
We believe that a healthy church makes a healthy community. When families are supported, when young people have mentors, when the isolated are visited, and when the hurting are comforted — the whole community is stronger. Our mission is one that has an impact not just on Sunday mornings, but every day of the week.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."Matthew 28:19 (ESV)
